Last week was the European Week of Active and Healthy Ageing (EWAHA) where people gathered from all over Europe to Gdansk to talk about healthy ageing technology and innovation. There were many interesting interactive workshops, stands, posters and presentation about the last 15 years of the AAL (Active Assisted Living) Programme. We also hosted a workshop on social robots where we shared our experience about the AID2BeWell project. There were many attendees who were also involved in very interesting social robots and shared their ideas. People also contributed through audience voting tools, for example on this question below. In the end the thoughts of whether a social robot will be a likely companion at home in 10 years were mixed, there is still a lot of work to do.
